FAQ

My dogs are crazy and don't sit still. Will you be able to get photos of them?

YES! Most of the dogs I photograph are full of energy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Years of working with shelter animals have taught me that patience (and a little playtime) go a long way. During sessions, we take plenty of breaks for belly rubs, fetch, or just a good sniff around. This keeps tails wagging and personalities shining. And when the moment’s just right, my quick camera work ensures we capture those perfect, joy-filled shots in seconds.

Can you photograph my cat or other exotic animal?

Yes. Cats are a special case—most aren’t exactly fans of car rides. If that’s true for your kitty, I’m happy to come to your home instead of having the session at my studio. For especially shy cats, we may spend a good portion of our time simply getting acquainted so they feel comfortable before the camera comes out.

My dogs can’t be off-leash at the park. Can we still get great photos?

Absolutely! Most of the dogs I photograph outdoors are on leash (safety is always my top priority). With a little Photoshop magic, I can make the leash disappear so it looks like your pup was enjoying a picture-perfect off-leash adventure.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I will be in the Washington DC metro area (Waldorf, MD) and happily travel within an hour from my studio. Have a dream location in mind or want something extraordinary? Can I be in the photograph too?

Of course. I generally like to focus on the animals first and will throw in humans, too. I love capturing the joy of families enjoying life with their pets.
